Goliath XL Surfboard fins are high performance five fin set-up. Designed, developed and tested by Scott of Big Guy Boards, he has collaborated with experienced shapers and manufacturers to create the ultimate big guy fin. The XL features an upright template that helps get the board on rail and tighten the turning arc. The fins have a lot of depth which provide stability and overall control. Designed for larger and powerful surfers as a reliable thruster, or quad set up in all conditions. These fins can also be used as a performance set for Longboarding and SUP’s.
The carbon option creates a slightly stiffer fin, which will suit a larger surfer for speed generation.
I'm 6'3 255 lbs and put the quad setup into my high performance longboard for a small but hollow day at the local beachbreak. First impression was "man these are some stiff fins" but after a few waves getting used to them and muscling them around a bit more, I unlocked some of the drive and speed that these fins can provide and it was impressive! Very stable on the takeoff and they locked in a high line very well. Only suggestion is can you make a center fin for a longboard fin box that's the same spec?
